FAQs

  • The best time is when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old. During this period, newborns tend to sleep deeply and can be easily posed for those adorable, curled-up shots.
    But I recommend not stressing yourself out and first seeing how you feel after the birth and when you actually feel like taking pictures. In theory there is no rule.

  • A newborn session usually lasts between 2 to 4 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks, ensuring that both the baby and parents are comfortable.

  • Try to keep your baby awake for about an hour before the session and feed them right before arriving. This helps ensure they’ll be sleepy and relaxed during the shoot. Dress them in loose clothing for easy changes without marks on their skin.

  • Bring extra diapers, wipes, feeding supplies, and any special blankets, outfits, or personal items you’d like included in the photos. A pacifier can also be helpful, even if your baby doesn’t use one regularly.

  • Most newborn sessions focus on minimal clothing, such as wraps or simple onesies, to highlight their natural beauty. I also provide a selection of blankets and props, but feel free to bring any special outfits or items you want to include. If it is a home story, we can work with what you have available it also makes is that much more real and authentic.

  • A preview gallery is typically available within 1-2 weeks of the session. Final, fully edited images are delivered within 3-4 weeks, with options for prints, albums, or digital downloads based on your package.

  • You get a generous selection of my favorites. (at least 40 pieces) I don't hold anything back, but of course I also want the greatest possible added value for you.

  • I make all selected images available in JPG format in an online gallery. I create a collection of color and black and white photos based on my own feelings.

  • It always helps me a lot when I can show the pictures on my website or Instagram. If you don't want that, of course I accept it! Just please let me know, otherwise I'll assume it's ok.
